Brook Furniture Rental is proud to announce that it recently earned the highest award in recognition of its Sustainability Initiatives at the GSA Training Conference and Expo 2011.

With over 7,000 attendees, the annual event is designed to build knowledge of major government initiatives, and increase collaboration between federal, state and local government employees and GSA vendors. A major goal this year was to make this EXPO a leader in sustainable conference and tradeshows. To support this goal, the conference delivered 23 separate training courses on green products and services, reduced paper usage by utilizing Quick Response (QR) codes to enable participants to download presentations instead of printed literature, and established a Green Exhibitor Program for exhibitors.

Working in conjunction with The Leonardo Academy, a firm that specializes in sustainability, the GSA invited all exhibitors to participate in the Green Exhibitor Program. A scorecard was used to measure and assess the results of exhibitors who successfully minimized the negative environmental impacts of participating in conferences and tradeshows. Each participating exhibitor earned points based on the depth of environmentally responsible business practices and products incorporated in their display. Brook Furniture Rental was one of only 3 companies to achieve the highest level possible of Platinum.
